Frequently asked
Questions we get
Which devices does Git on the Go run on?
iPad and iPhone. The interface adapts to each — the iPad layout gives you a side-by-side diff, and the iPhone layout stacks it.
Where are my repositories actually stored?
In an ordinary folder in the Files app, on your device. That means any other app you own can open and edit those files directly, and you can move or back up the folder like any other.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Everything except pushing and fetching is local, so you can commit, branch and review diffs offline and sync later.
Is Git LFS supported?
Yes — Git LFS shipped in version 1.4. If you were on an earlier build, update from the App Store to pick it up.
Is this a subscription?
No. Git on the Go is a one-time purchase, and updates to the version you bought are included.
